E-BOOK & ONLINE FICTION: Whipster 1: The New Boy (Michael's House)

Yes, I know I said I wouldn't be releasing Whipster this year. As a compromise, here is the first part reposted; it can be read as a stand-alone novella. It's also available as a Kindle e-book.
Running a business seemed a simple enough matter: you learned what the patron wanted, and you forced an employee to satisfy his needs. Then along came the new boy.
Now the centuries-old system of male prostitution in the Kingdom of Vovim is in danger of being overturned in favor of a new way of doing business. But will the young man who is carrying out this revolution be able to keep himself from repeating history?
"We'll be hiring the finest craftsfolk in the city, giving them hours of training to perfect their much-demanded skills and allow them to perform their tasks to the peak of their mastery – and the peak of the satisfaction of those who buy our goods."

It's online now. I just haven't updated the excerpts page yet to reflect that fact. I plan to publish the other two installments of the novel in the spring, and I'm hoping to publish the full novel in paperback next year. Thanks for asking. :)

Boy, and my readers' usual complaint is that I write too much for them to read. :) Thank you kindly for the compliment.
"That's so far away! It seems very cruel to put up the first chapter of an intriguing story and then promise to deliver the rest in the spring. :)"
Alas, I've got six novel series to juggle (not to mention my three short fiction series - "short fiction" meaning about one-quarter the size of a novel). I'm currently publishing about one novel's worth of stories each month, but still, I can't always get all of the installments out for each current novel before my publishing season ends in the fall. (I spend fall and winter writing new stories, something I can't do at the same time I'm publishing.)
"The New Boy" does work as a stand-alone novella - at least, I hope it does, because that's how I designed it. I deliberately write as many of my stories as possible that way, so that people can read each story on its own, without feeling that they've been left with a cliffhanger.
But if you're really itching, I'll point out that the second installment is still available in MAS-Zine #5.
