Thanks for understanding. I did glance at your journal - I always do, when someone Friends me - but I'm only watching four journals at the moment, for exactly the reason you mentioned. (By the way, all of my journal entries are public, so I'm not keeping anything secret by not Friending most people.)
"I too have been struggling with a desire to simplify my life"
Oh, it's so nice to hear this. I hope you'll post more about this, either here or at your journal. I love learning from other people's experiences.

spiralred:"I have been there twice for that trip and was able to do the old fashioned oyster dredging"
(*Turns green with envy.*)
Though I've had a look at a skipjack and doubt I could manage it. I mean, those things have a railing that's what, three inches high? I was on a ferry recently that had a chest-high railing, and I got so dizzy that I had go inside after about two minutes. I have a fear of heights that causes me to want to fling myself off any object where there's no barrier between me and emptiness. So I'm fine on a jet plane above the clouds (no way out) but couldn't manage being on a boat with no solid barrier between me and the water.
"Over this past spring break I dragged some college friends up there and we watched the sunset over the marches and explored an abandoned house."
Um . . . if you do this again some time, could I perhaps tag along, if it's not an inconvenience to you? Because I *might* be able to drag Doug into Dorchester County once more, but he doesn't have this total obsession with the county, the way I do. And I don't drive, so I can't go on my own.
Besides, it would be nice to meet a reader (I say shyly).

telepwen (with spoilers for "The Unanswered Question"):I asked my Muse about this, and his reply was: "This is Layle Smith."
To elaborate on his answer, I think that someone who has the aura of the High Master of hell would prompt extreme measures. :)

My particular Achilles' heels are description and period dialogue. So we all have our areas of weaknesses and strengths. Thanks so much for your kind remarks.
